If the talks fail we will walk away, Trump has said for the longest time. Any day now. However now it's, "we will be very tough on Russia. Actually both probably, takes two to tango." What this "tough" means wrt Russia I don't know, what leverage does he have? More sanctions? Worked so well so far. "I always said Putin wants the whole of Russia." Based on what exactly? Absolute clownery from the White House imo

How believable is this? Some analysts I watch say at least 1.5 million Ukrainians are KIAs. I don't know what the truth is exactly but I'm pretty sure the western intelligence agency figures are propaganda baloney. They are saying Putin has no regard for his soldiers whereas Ukraine does, I guess.

I would venture none of it can be trusted, on both sides. But I doubt Russia's death toll is nearly as bad as Ukraine's — perhaps by many factors.

Regardless, Russia is used to suffering and death in war. They lost tens of millions in WW2. Don't forget France's invasions. They paid for their land with blood. I don't see Russia losing any war anytime soon. The world will be destroyed if Russia is destroyed.

In '23 Biden said Russia has already lost, lots of generals were telling him that. Just recently an American general, forgot his name, said to congress Russia is on the ropes, they are losing.

Recently euro leaders have said they want to keep this going for another five years! Russia will lose eventually. Basically saying they don't care about attrition of Ukrainian people. I don't know, seems sort of callous and cynical to me, but perhaps it's "worth it," it's not for me to decide. Unless something very unexpected happens I don't see how Russia can lose, not on the battlefield. But I'm no expert. When Zelensky was dressed down in the WH Trump said Russia holds all the cards and Ukraine none. Now Trump says Putin will retaliate and it probably won't be pretty. No threats against Russia, "let them fight like kids on the schoolyard" i.e. he can't and won't do anything to stop it. This has been a US proxy war all along to destroy Russia, US officials have admitted as much recently, but now he acts like he's not party to the conflict and all he wants is peace.

Analysts are wondering if there will be an "Oreshnik moment" in the coming days. At this moment it would be completely foolish to use nukes, especially when you have strategic weapons that don't cause the radiation problems. That said, analysts say even if Russia did use a tactical nuke it's unlikely there would be equal retaliation as that would be the end of the world. Analysts I watch say Germany already placed Taurus missiles in Ukraine; their line now being "we are helping the Ukies build their own long range missiles." Perhaps they have been shipped in parts and "assembled" in Ukraine thereby circumventing German legislation. Russians have said if they are used they will consider targeting Europe itself. Russia is producing 4X the amount of missiles and mortars as the whole of NATO combined including the USA. NATO can't do anything which is why they're so desperate to keep Trump in. Merz said the difference between Ukraine and Russia is that Russia targets civilians. Russia shot like 83 missiles and what was it, some 700 drones and there was 30 civilian deaths according to Ukraine, most due to falling Ukrainian anti missile debree according to some analysts. They say Russia bombed factories at night to avoid civilian casualties. Ukraine did target civilians in Kursk and also now bombed that civilian train. The bombers were fair game these analysts acknowledge. I'm sure there's propaganda from the Russian side but Ukraine lies constantly, saying they destroyed 40 aircraft whereas satellite data indicates it was like 5-7. Three of the bombers seemed irreparably damaged. Do you think it's realistic Ukraine has 60K KIAs and Russia has 250K? Zelensky said a while back it was 40K lost. The analysts I watch claim there are probably 100K KIAs in Kursk alone and probably 1.5 Ukr KIAs total. Trump claims he just wants the killing to stop but I doubt the main concern is that at all. Europe says they want to keep this going for another 5 years.

I don't know how this could be stopped. What would you think could be a realistic solution? Should Ukraine concede territory and sign up for being neutral or should they keep fighting to the last man? Seems like Russia won't back down and they are saying in Russia Putin faces tons of criticism for being too soft and that Putin can't back down even if he wanted to or it would be over for him. I guess it's the same for Zelensky, they would kill Zelensky if he made any concessions. If Trump did walk away it would probably conclude quickly but that will probably not happen, despite Trump promising that for a long time now.

The critics say McGregor is just a Putin puppet, BigRo has said that as well. I think McGregor has been friends with Trump in the past at least, don't know if he's had any contact for a while. MacGregor and others in that orbit think Trump is fed fake intelligence.
Or they neglect to inform him of everything they know. Trump is completely surrounded by neocons and zionists and they are sabotaging any attempts by Trump to reach peace in Ukraine, which would mean concessions by Ukraine. MacGregor and co. are saying Trump is showing weakness by not standing up to the warmongering neocons.

NATO says there are no Nazis there but from what I've seen there are. The Russians in their memorandum demand that Ukraine ban the far right parties and ban glorification of Bandera etc. Maybe "Nazi" is a bit of a misnomer, I don't know, but maybe say ultra-nationalists or whatever. One white supremacist I know of has been to Ukraine to network with those factions over there, probably in this instance the US won't hassle the guy over it. Pretty sure it's Russia, because it's the wrong side to choose in the US. Though Ukraine has those ultra-nationalist Banderite neo-nazis, and some US white nationalists are on the side of Ukraine. I listen to some "nationalist" and "white supremacist" metal and Spotify doesn't allow many of them, however today I listened to some Ukrainian nationalist metal on Spotify (Drudkh). Funny how that works.
