Likely there is some truth to it. Both sides (Russia and Euro members of NATO) are gonna ramp up this kinda back and forth. Each side accusing and provoking the other.
You'll probably be doom posting that we're on the brink of WWIII again, but that won't be the case. The goal is to cause fear and destabilisation in Europe, so the wealthier European countries increase their military spending and buy the latest weapons from the US military industrial complex

The Russians have said no one wants WWIII but a small miscalculation could make things get out of hand, so there's always a small risk. I forget the details but a few years ago the US calculated something like a 10% risk of nuclear war due to something they were planning, I think it was under Biden. Too big of a chance IMO.
