Watched an epic thin lizzy show today from sydney 1978 with gary moore.
(seen it before of course, just did a re-watch).

downey on drums is off the fuckin' charts. amazing.

maybe that didn’t come out exactly like I meant it. I have played for many years now and Gary  was one of my favorites. I think what I meant was if you were walking down the street and asked Joe Blow who Eddie Van Halen was most everyone would know.Where as Gary might only be recognized by fans.

Kind of fell off when he wandered into Blues Town. Not that I think that stuff blows. But when it comes to pure-ish blues music/playing, I have limited patience.

Essentially, if it’s not SRV, I’m not all that interested.
