I was impressed by how Thor kept up a good stance and guard the entire fight.

He had good coaching.

Yeah, he looked like he actually trained for the fight.

This is why muscle men can't box, too rigid, no movement and no snap in their punches. Both would be taken to the cleaners by legit middle weights. Both need to call it a day, unless for another circus show.

Yeah, but in a real tangle in a crowded bar or supermarket parking lot, that middle weight would become a paraplegic inside of a minute.

Yep, their punches looked like they were in slow motion and the way they moved, unable to avoid such slow punches.

Not a fan of stroke face, but he put in the work for this fight. Can't fault his effort here. Hall, not so much.

Why are we getting these boring shit shows though. After 2 decades we finally have a bunch of decent/closely matched heavyweights who can put on a decent show, and there are enough of them to give us 2 or 3 fights a year.

What's this chatter I see on IG of Thor being a wife beater?

https://icelandmag.is/article/strongman-mountain-facing-new-serious-accusations-domestic-violence .

There were a few early training videos that girlfriend was in, where you could tell they didn't like each other.

Edit, more - https://grapevine.is/news/2017/06/29/the-mountain-publishes-emails-disputing-ex-girlfriends-violence-accusations/ .

Yeah but it takes many years to get really good at boxing.

I honestly think if Thor took it 100% seriously for a few years he would be a decent boxer.

But yeah, the muscle bound men typically don't make good fighter. You need to be fast, agile and flexible. Obviously these guys aren't so much.

Hall was just there for the attention and the money.

I'm not a fan of these publicity stunt fights, but they make people a shit ton of money.

I didn't watch the fight live because i had other plans.

But it ended how i thought.

Also, i've lost a lot of respect for Hall.

He's been such a drama queen about this entire thing.

I liked him when he posted funny videos on YT.

I saw on social media a picture of him consoling his son after Thor threw an energy drink at the conference thing.

What on earth did he expect? They have been at each other for a long time.

Leave your son on the sidelines Hall. Who brings their child to a pre-fight conference with two guys who want to kill each other?

You get no sympathy points from me.

Glad he lost.

Thor threw the drink after Hall said something about his mom. Eddie gets off on pushing buttons and talking shit but it came time to back it up and it was obvious who put in the work.

Overload I agree he obviously took it more seriously than crybaby Eddie,. But t at 33, years he doesn't have to get better.

You can't teach a old dog new tricks, hence why I said they both need to call it a day. I am also not a fan of these events, all good till one of these clowns gets hurt then boxing takes the rap.

 :o :o :o

I looked up and both were born in 88. I thought they were in their 40s lmao.

Thor could do well at regional level in the UK. He might as well go for it, as 33 is not too old for a heavyweight.

Eddie Hall is a prat. He acts like the class clown. Kinda reminds me of ricky hatton with the silly "one of the lads" chavvy act.

They look way older than that - all the roids, drugs, etc - not going to end well

Eddie has stated many times he is willing to die to be the WSM or have the deadlift record.

You can tell he is still on the gas really hard today.

You don't walk around that size just by eating an English breakfast and a few protein shakes every day.

Thor is obviously still on the gas too, but he seems to have dropped a lot more size.

Nobody knows, but it seems many strongman have made into their later years after coming off the gear. It's just that their joints are fucked beyond belief.

Finally watched this silliness.  LOL

Fat eddie was such shit, the highlight of the whole thing for him was getting to sit next to Eric Cartman at the press conference.

He would get killed as a professional boxer.
