I came in prepared to disagree but yeah that version of Levrone is superb.  The difference between him and Heath is especially stark between poses, when they're not flexing .. Phil doesnt display much detail until he hits his pose, Kevin looks defined even at rest.

Yeah. That was true for a lot of 90s competitors. Looking at the standing relaxed today versus then is mind boggling. Today it looks more bloated rounded muscle bellies, turtle stomach, and lack of lines. Might as well throw in cussed faces versus the bloat face.

Was always awesome to see Levrone in the magazines, always had something to say.

Exactly. This version of Kevin would beat any version of Phil in a bodybuilding show. The only shot Phil wins is back double. I would even given him side chest. Every other shot he's getting Levrowned.
Look at the midsection comparisons. Levrone has deep separation and Phil is washed out. Levrone has crisp conditioning and is like stone and Phil looks inflated. Levrone's posing is masterful and Phil is just average at best.

Here Levrone looks better and is the better bodybuilder here. This was Levrone's peak.

He got robbed by Kai. He should have won this show. This was Phil's best condition. Still narrow looking at this point. Good show Royalty. This and 2012 are the best versions of Phil. He's better when he's smaller. His obliques and narrow shoulders and "gut" are distractions from his physique.
