I'm only 5'4", and did 365 for 3 weighing around 183 at the time.  I wouldn't be able to push around or press 250+lb guys over my head like Shamrock did in WWF.  Very confident he could do way more than only 2 reps more than me with that weight, and for a single.  I am nothing special.  We had a 5'2" black dude named Ricky that weighed 170-175, and was clean (I know, because he trained with my training partner on days I couldn't, and we tried like crazy to get him to do a cycle and he wouldn't)  I saw him do 535 x 2 raw and good form.  Dude worked 3 jobs, and would nap between sets.  Craziest thing I ever seen....the lifts, and napping between sets.  I know the part about a black dude working 3 jobs is hard for anyone to grasp.  LOL!  ;D All true though.
Those are really good lifts.

But you’re not Shamrock and neither is Ricky. The wrestling circuits, and professionals in general used to be able to workout for free when they would travel for events at Gold’s and Powerhouse, and World Gyms. Seen him train. Shamrock is a strong guy but not 600 pound bench strong.

Back in the 90s Ken was legit a scary looking mofo, 230/40s and had his lean periods too. Guys back then had easy access to good gear and Cheque drops with legit halotestin which was easy to come by and used in wrestling and powerlifting by the truck loads.

Point is big doesn’t mean strong and little doesn’t mean weak.

Back then people didn’t really know about UFC until Ken Shamrock started getting attention. Everyone, including myself just thought it as back yard brawling. I think Ken really helped UFC. I remember he got even more popular when fights could only take place in Vegas, lol.

Would you make the same comment if he said he made $2 billion as a fighter?

 It's just as preposterous.

It only matters because he said it.

Only Bhanks is saying he could take a prime Shamrock, no one else is.

Thank you, but I don't think anything I've done is anything special.  We have a lot of "farm boy" strong mofo's here before they ever touch gear.  Flat bench was probably my shittiest free weight lift.  I could incline DBell more lbs for more reps than I could on flat.  Whether bbell or dbell, flat is just something I could never seem to find the right groove at.  There were many short dudes, and 5'10" 180 skinny dudes here that could bench 405+ for reps.  I never could.

My whole point about Ricky is kinda what I was getting at regarding your last point.  Still, I nor do I believe Ricky could press and hold a 250lb grown man above their head like Ken did while in WWF.  Which leads me to believe he could bench much more than me, but Ricky could probably out bench him.  We both have good points I think, and the fact of what Ken could do probably lies somewhere in the middle.

Respect, and good posts! 8)

Being a badass in the octagon has nothing to do with benching. There is no way he benched 600 lbs so why claim it?
