Yikes, that's bad, Swifty.  Sorry to hear it.

I got the shingles vax a couple months ago.   It's an expensive vax but my insurance covered it.

2 shots in six weeks.

Dr said there are lots of kids with chicken pox at the moment, I had CP when I was a kid it lies dormant and then if you get the CP virus it presents as shingles

My doc told me about the vax, have to wait unil its cleared up, should be about 4-6 weeks

Got shingles shot also a while ago. I have it in my family and it sure doesn't sound like fun. So glad I don't need to ever worry about it, it's worth couple of hundred bucks!

BPPV sucks brother, sorry to hear. In the beginning, when you used to go to your local emergency department, would they Dix-Hallpike you to check for "BPPV"? Do you self-Epley at home often?

6 meds? Let me guess, meclizine, promethazine, prochlorperazine, valium and scopolamine patches?

The spinning only happens if I get up quickly or lie down and bring my left knee across my torso (low back stretch)

Meds wise Citalopram for depression Aciclovir for the shingles, Steptamil for the BPPV, codine painkiller , valium 10mgs

Well, at least you'll be off the Aciclovir soon enough once the shingles virus goes back into hiding. Life must be smoother with Celexa and Valium though.

Does the codeine constipate you? Any time I've used narcotics, it backs me up bad.

Damn dude you are all doped up but yeah shingles looks nasty I imagine it hurts like hell. Do you think we should deduct for that in our April 15th Challenge? I mean you can't go on stage like that is it contagious? Looks like the plague are you undead?

I had CP as a kid too.

Was on the list to get the shingle vax for like 10 years but my name never got called.  They never had enough of the vax.

Now, my doc said they have a lot of it.

My arm got very sore at the injection spot but that was the only reaction.

Stay strong, bro.  Getbig needs you.

4-6 weeks! That is brutal. My granddad had shingles and he was miserable but I think it only lasted like 2 weeks. Get better soon.
