Foamy urine - danger alert ?
« on: April 13, 2022, 06:20:15 AM »
Do you guys pay attention to this at all ?
I never did but i think my few reckless years of gear use might be getting back at me, especially the tren.
I have no other symptoms tho, but i'll still have it checked out.

I'd like to hear Van_Bilderass on this.
(I don't eat much protein (150g a day max) and I take 1 cc of test per week year round.

Hey Stavios,

I'm not Van, but I'll take an educated stab at it.

Your foamy urine can be due to a multitude of things, but more concerning is the fact that it could be a sign of kidney disease.

Here's an article from the American Society of Nephrology discussing the nature of foamy urine and how it can be a sign of kidney disease: https://cjasn.asnjournals.org/content/14/11/1664#:~:text=Historically%2C%20persistent%20foamy%20urine%20noticed,bowl%20(see%20Figure%201).

Khitan, Z. J., & Glassock, R. J. (2019). Foamy urine. Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, 14(11), 1664–1666. Retrieved April 13, 2022, from https://doi.org/10.2215/cjn.06840619

Anyhow, the gist of it is that when patients see foamy urine, it is typically caused by proteinuria. Proteinuria is merely a fancy term for elevated protein in the urine. The reason the urine gets foamy is because proteins have a coating surrounding them, like a surfactant, and when it mixes with both urine and water it that reduces the surface tension and stands out as bubbles/foam.

The bigger issue is that your kidneys' glomerulus (part of the filtration system for your kidneys) should be retaining proteins as opposed to filtering them out. This could be a sign of kidney disease and this would be best evaluated by your local doctor.

To start, your PCP can order a Complete Metabolic Panel (CMP) + gather urine for a urinalysis and evaluate for:

  • BUN
  • Creatinine
  • Urine Albumin
  • Glomerular filtration rate
  • Urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio

Also, if you need me to explain what any of those aforementioned labs test for, let me know and I'll gladly explain.

Anyhow, hope this helps. As always, I am an accountant, so don't take anything I write as medical advice.

"1"

P.S. Assuming you're a dirty slut, you could also have an Sexually Transmitted Disease. Trichomoniasis can cause frothy/foamy urine in both males and females. Good luck!

Can't say other than to go get it checked out. But I know I've had some foamy urine on occasion and kidney parameters were fine.

Foamy urine is excellent. We call it frothy.

Those are nitrogen bubbles. We want that! A high nitrogen content means we are in an anabolic state. It’s a huge positive.

Get some bloodwork and a urinalysis. You're just guessing until you get the tests done. Not good to play guessing games with your kidneys.

Have you been drinking dish soap because that will cause it?

Honestly my urine has been foamy as far back as I can remember 10-11 so 33 years now and no problems. I wouldn’t worry about it to much. Seems every toilet or urinal I use has foamy urine. All my tests are good for kidney function. But I would go get those done to be sure.

What about cleaning products you may have just used in the bowl?

The only time i had it i was eating about 300grams of protein daily. Can't be healthy, specially if you are eating 150grams daily.

Some people would pay good money for that piss. The foam is considered a delicacy in Japan

I've had foamy urine, had tests done all organs are fine, ultra sound kidney, liver, all fine, urinalysis fine. But I'd still get these checked out.

This happened after I ate those sour Skittles once. If it's consistent, try to control for all variables, then see if it's still there.

Also, try to be fully hydrated and urinate clearly. If it's still present, it could be worth checking out.

Who was that 'famous' BB years ago that said something like, 'you know the gears working when you're pissing blood'...?

Michalik..?

Michalik..?

I think a bunch of them had a variation on it - Michalik, Grymko, Duchaine, Gaspari, and a few powerlifters have all been credited with some version of it, pro or con in the piss blood camp.

---------------------

Since Michalik was mentioned the classic story of vending machine fucking, blood pissing, and monkey hypothalamus eating -

"The pain, you see, had become just unendurable. Ten years of shot-gunning steroids had turned his joints into fish jelly and spiked his blood pressure so high he had to pack his nose to stop the bleeding. He’d been pissing blood for months, and what was coming out of him now was brown, pure protoplasm that his engorged liver hadn’t the wherewithal to break down. And when he came home from the gym at night, his whole body was in spasm. His eight-year-old boy, Steve Junior, had to pack his skull in ice, trying to take the top 10 percent off his perpetual migraine."

http://www.bronxbanterblog.com/2013/10/01/the-power-and-the-gory/ .

-----------------------------------------

As for the frothy pee, I've had it happen sometimes, even sometimes right before having blood work done. They've never been concerned with it, except for the general "working out hard", "eating a lot of protein" comments some physicians, especially older ones, make.

I've had it where my urine was basicay all foam, where hardly any liquid came out at all... I finished my cycle, never thought anything of it again.

The nitrogen bubbles are small and mostly clear but can have slight white color to them.

I’m guessing you’re running gear.

Trust me-  it’s a good thing!

At this point it is only a working theory but perhaps the ergonomics of the aforementioned schlong is leading to the foamy urine/bubbles.

Or the schlong to toilet distance ratio needs to be reduced. I suggest sitting down while you pee for a foam-free experience
