Hard to tell, you need to judge if you think it will improve your life.

I've been pinning myself so long i barely think about it anymore.

If you decide to try it, start with real recommended TRT for 2-3 months.

I think you will enjoy the benefits it provides at your age.

100mg or so of Test per week isn't going to blow you up, but it will make you feel more energetic and you will get slightly stronger.

Just keep it a low dose and enjoy life.

Thanks overload.i will think this stuff over.

I will be getting my test levels checked next week, unless my doctor cancels my appointment to get the requisition form. My test is normally mid-range.

I suspect it has dropped lately, just from being down. I think it may go back to normal, now that Canada itself is going back to normal, after this insane period we just had.

Is there a test level or age [or both] where a person would benefit from TRT?

Rob - what is your body weight? Is your higher hematocrit just from being bigger/more muscular than average?

Bodyweight today is 220 at 6’1.5” not sure why it’s high but it’s within range so that’s good. It was a little higher last time I got it checked 10 years ago so all is heading in right direction.

Yeah if you are feeling good and making gains i'd just keep doing what you are doing.
Yup.....I figure why waste it if I don`t need it yet.

Haha I do walk quite a bit. Thought that would help my cholesterol, I guess it did just not the bad cholesterol.

Rob walking is one of the best exercises anyone could do....if I were you I`d walk shorter periods mixed in with longer ones, and miss a day of walking once a week even twice occasionally....it may help but only you know how you feel.

Good luck bud.

Yeah,if you are fully recuperated, you`ll have more pep and energy.

You do insanely heavy training with high reps and walk a zillion miles a week.  :D

Total test is 264 so today they prescribed me test shots, picking up in a few hours. Question for you vets, been a long time since I did any juice and I’m kid of excited and not at the same time. I’m plenty strong and have good size so should I even bother? Also my cock is hard all the time.

I asked for complete hormone panel and all they did was total.
Feeling like you say you do I'd wait. Once your in the hormone game you're in, been in it for 14yrs.

Its a choice you need to make based on how you feel, qaulity of life, etc.

It seems you are fine Rob, so do you want to pin for the rest of your life? (I find it no big deal honestly).

From age 40 to age 50 I went from 767 total, to 253 total in 10 years.
(Age, binge-drinking, statins, etc).

I've been doing 1/2-cc a week for the last 5 years (125 mg) and test back up around 600-650 total again.
The 5x dose thing seems to add up to me and many others. (5x 125 = 625).

Ive gained no muscle or strength, but mood, libido, and body-comp seemed to have improved. (real TRT dose is really not a muscle-building compound).
It will however hold on to what you have as you age.

Might want to look into an aspirin a day for thinner blood, and seek out red yeast rice (from other countries) that contains monocolin-k (10 mg) if you have lipid-issues.
Monocolin-K is natural "Lovastatin", (low dose).

But if your bloods are fine with lipids and hematocrit you may not need any of that extra stuff, just something to keep in mind if you do...

I agree with this, maybe double that dose for 10 weeks during the summer and give blood if your hemocrit gets too high especially with all these athletes all of sudden having heart issues. It’s awesome you get the shots and not the pellets

So they prescribed me 150mgs cyp every 10 days. Should I just do 150mgs every 7 days?

I'd do 75mg's every 5 days or 100 every 7.  Did you fill the script yet?  My trt was always a 10cc bottle @ 200mg's per cc.  Curious what your vial looks like.

It’s 10cc bottle 200mgs per cc as well Wont be ready til tomorrow morning. How do you dose it? And do you enjoy it? Any size or strength? Blood work good? Sorry for all questions just really trying to weight the good and bad with everyone’s opinions.

I've been off since last fall.  When I 1st got the script I did 200mg per week for the 1st bottle.  Than I went down to 120 for a year and eventually 100 per week for a year.  The last year, my numbers were trending in the wrong direction.  The thick blood was no big deal for me as I regularly donate at the Red Cross.  However, my BP was getting a little too high for my liking.  Worst reading was 138/86.  Honestly, I love it Rob.  Even at 120 per week the shape and fullness of my muscles is noticeably improved.  I'm not a big strength guy to begin with but I definitely get stronger.  I don't increase weight a whole hell of a lot given my age, aches, pains etc but I get lots more reps.  Never get sore.  Can almost train everything twice a week.  Also, it's much harder for me to gain any fat while on.  If the dose is too high my nips get puffy and around that time, my pecker isn't as reliable.  It's more likely to peter out during the event.  I always have cialis on hand just in case.

Based on your strength, activity level, schlong function, I'd say you probably don't need it yet.  You could always take that vial and blast 200 a week for 10 weeks.  Let it clear, hit clomid for a month and wait again til you feel you need more.  The problem is once you come off you'll know you are off.  Sorry I'm all over the place bud.  I'm gonna try it again but I have to figure out how to keep my bp down.

There has been lots of great advice in this thread.  I'd love to hear Walter White chime in or Coach.

I concur with Wes  Aren't you walking 5+ miles a day... I think you might have even said 5-10 miles.

I try to walk 3 miles on non-training days (takes about 45 minutes) and that make me more fatigued than lifting even though it's not nearly as demanding (or doesn't feel like it is)

If you don’t want to be a little bit bigger, a little bit leaner, a little bit stronger and feel a little bit better, don’t take the shot  ;)

Yeah, they only send out 10cc bottles here every other month.  That would only give him like 13 weeks.  Odd number.

I take Rosuvastatin and am gonna` ask my doctor if I can come off of it.

Cleaned up my diet bigtime since I started back training again so I`ll bet things are in order now......hopefully.

Rob,you probably feel tired and listless from all that walking you do.....that`s a lot of fucking walking bro.  ;D

How long were you on Rosuvastatin?  What was your experience with it?

I said I didn’t want it at all cause I’ve heard they suck and the dr said they are not as bad as you think and are worth the risks as the benefits definitely outweigh the bad. I’m still on the fence though definitely leading to not take it.

Yeah I have a small construction company and when I’m busy I’m working 10-12 hour days. I was researching a lot today as I’ve been out of the game a long time and 125mgs does seem to be pretty good for adding a couple pounds and some strength.

TRT isn't going to really blow you up.  You will make improvements in overall muscle tone over a period of time.  Basically TRT is geared to improve your life in terms of libido, energy levels, motivation, more focus, and to get rid of that "dark cloud" that some people feel follows them around.

Get a script to have phlebotomy done once a month just for the hematocrit levels.

You can use privatemd for getting readings on the rest of the things they seem to have left off.

But you eat no meat at all?

No need for script....go to jasonhealth.com and you can order whatever tests you want.

Thanks guys, I appreciate those answers, I’m on the fence. I do tons of walking and my workouts are going great but the rest of the day I’m dragging, not sure if cause if so much cardio. I was hoping for some boost in training, maybe skin tighten up a bit, little more muscle but I guess that’s out the window. So if I do 150 maybe I get some muscle building effects? Haha.

My hemocrit is 46
My total cholesterol is 216 so want me to start a statin, I said I wasn’t interested and they said they would give me the lowest dose possible. Triglycerides 76, good cholesterol 51, bad cholesterol 167.
Also I do take a baby aspirin daily and have for a long time.

All I eat is fruit, veggiez, egg whites, Atkins shakes and nuts. So it’s genetic.

I said I didn’t want it at all cause I’ve heard they suck and the dr said they are not as bad as you think and are worth the risks as the benefits definitely outweigh the bad. I’m still on the fence though definitely leading to not take it.

Fuck statin drugs.  Thats not even that high FFS.  Love how they push that shit on people.  Ask the doctor next time if they take the drug if its not as bad you think.  Your total number is just above the normal upper level.  Again, these numbers are not black and white.  Some doctors only see that and knee-jerk with people and their pharmaceutical solutions.
