I feel sorry for you. I was on the same boat in the past - the idea of raw fish sounded very unappealing. But once I got over the mental block it was amazing. Of course, if you live in Buttfuck, Ohio you may not have access to decent sushi, but high quality sushi / sashimi is one of the most amazing culinary experiences there is in life, hands down.

Not the sushi I eat. I get it from Krogers.  They make a killer poke bowl for just $9.  The lady always adds
extra tuna for me.  It tastes better than the high end sushi places.
