No, it isn't. Literally every class I've ever taken has had significant overlap with other subjects. Why is it wrong to mention Maya Angelou at 10:30, but okay to do it at 1:35? That is ridiculous logic, Matt. It's school. If it is appropriate to learn about in one class, it's fine to mention it in another. Subjects don't exist in a vacuum and part of an (effective) teacher's job is to come up with interesting or novel ways to engage students. Besides, the test is hardly political- it states facts about a black person's life. Is that what the CRT boogeyman is for the right? Acknowledging that a black person existed?
That's fair enough, but I feel that you're saying this because you side with the content.
I think you wouldn't feel that way if this material had a more right-wing bent.
That being said, there are places to pepper this type of material in, but as I said - that material doesn't add to the caliber of the learning, IMO.
As I said, you can straight up take it out of there, and all the questions and answers are fine when they stand alone.
However, my major issue is that the left just keeps pushing this more and more.
IMO, this stuff has gone too far. And I think that's the issue people are having.
White people already need to hear that White people are shit 24/7 on the news - that's why myself and others are annoyed seeing it creep into education like this.
Al Doggity, answer honestly please:
Did you ever think we'd get to the point of allowing men in women's change rooms, and allowing them to compete in women's sports?
