I don't know the laws in Texas

I do know that an old man in Florida shot an unarmed man to death in a movie theater and he was acquitted.  He claimed self-defense saying he feared he would be attacked after he and the other guy got in an argument

I was surprised he got off but I don't know the details of the specific law in Florida (or Texas) and I wasn't on the jury. 

I do know that virtually anyone can get a gun in Texas (really anywhere in this country) so it makes sense to assume everyone is armed and ready to respond to any provocation with deadly force.

We don't know the history between these two or any prior threats.  The shooter may have a very good reason to have been armed and in fear of being physically attacked.   Right or wrong Shane is still the one in the hospital and he's lucky that he's not dead.  All because he acted like a dick by parking in someone else's spot and then acting aggressively when confronted  about it.  He could have just apologized and said he would move the truck right away and if he did that we likely wouldn't be talking about him now.
