From reading the news, it’ll be bad for him in June when they have their elections. A lot of people voted for him as the lesser of two evils, which will make it hard for him to form a majority government. 41% of 18-24 year olds didn’t vote, and many on the far left voted for macron because they didn’t want Le Pen in power. France is almost as polarized as the US. But yes, he is still the first sitting president in modern times to be re-elected.
