Saginaw is somewhat of a shit hole. Not quite on the level of Flint but there are definitely parts you should avoid.

Dearborn on the other hand is a very nice, safe place.

How old are you? Once I crossed 35 years old, I realized how dumb this “sport” truly is. Don’t get me wrong. I still like to watch old training clips or even Bumstead’s stuff for more recent vids and still train like a bodybuilder, but the noble pursuit of the thong when you’re pumped full of drugs combined with having shit genetics is pure delusion. The industry as a whole is seedy and sad.

To the contrary, I believe the athlete in the OP stands a strong chance of winning the Grand Rapids City Bodybuilding Championships, if not the NPC Kent County, MI or the NPC Grand Rapids–Kentwood Metropolitan Statistical Area. In time, I'd even say he has the potential to win the NPC Western Michigan.
