Two guys from my old gym were in that contest........Joe Gomes was in Belknaps class unfortunately for him and Rich Roy.

With the exception of a few guys Belknap was far ahead of the competition.  Thick as the proverbial cock. Always thought massive forearms ( like Mentzer, Viator and Belknap) added so much to a physique.

He had so much hype it really surprised me that his ifbb career was not so successful.  I read somewhere that Tim was kind of a dick maybe that hurt him in the long run.

Probably the 1st bodybuilder to realize the effect insulin had on muscularity, being a type 1 diabetic and all.

heard a story from an ex-pro who shared a car to a venue with him, he needed a shot and just did it straight through his track suit bottoms

Not very well - last i saw him he was totally unrecognizable -
pot Bellied, smoking, drinking & looking very old -
