You might be correct about the OP, but I am well-versed in US history. The big difference now is this is probably the weakest generation this country has ever produced. I do not believe any of the young people today would have the wherewithal and gumption to fight and defend this nation or its interests. Everyone is being taught that their own personal pleasures and desires are the most important thing in the world to them. They are also being taught that the greatest sin one can commit is to offend someone else.

I would love to remain positive, as it looks you might be doing. I have two boys and wish I had a better outlook for their future. But I don’t.

Spot on. There's always been trials and tribulations but the accelerated rate of moral and intellectual decay over the past 3 years is something different.  I don't see it getting better.
