In 2003. Some said he had HIV...but Joe Meeko said he got that way from drinking 1L vodka a day for years [something like that - whatever a "quart" is].

He said Ron Teufel could never shake that monkey off his back, and finally died in 2003.

Mike Pulcinella said he had been working at the Home Depot prior to his death, which was quite the shock to his fans, who knew him as being a superstar.
