I'm white: Hungarian, Russian and a tad bit Mongolian. I have no surviving blood relatives.  Im 50 after all. So my wifes family is what ive had for the past 25 years.

My wife is black and Cherokee Indian.

My kids are White/Black/Indian and a tad bit Mongolian.

I grew up in poor black neighborhoods in Detroit.  My white relatives were a bunch of trash ass porch monkeys. My wife grew up in New York and Chicago but her family is from Detroit....

Funny story... one Christmas.... had a few buddies over that I knew from Portland and one of my uncles (father in laws brother from Detroit) we were smoking Cohibas on my balcony and sipping Laphroaig. Getting sentimental about tge holidays....i told a story about my father and what a great man he was - a real hero in my eyes(a firefighter for 40 yrs. Burned once rescuing a guy from a burning home) my buddies all shared fond stories of their fathers (fishing trips, life lessons etc etc..) my uncle a legit O.G. bad ass says "I met my father for the first time when I was 40. I told him 'thanks for nothin mother fucker.' Didnt elaborate.  Offered nothing else. Those candy asses from PDX didn't know what to say! LoL. It was truly priceless.  But it illustrates the differences between growing up black and growing up white. That's mot to say every white has it easy and every black struggles..


In my observations theres just a huge difference in culture.  In white families the dad is typically the backbone and head of the family.  In black families its typically the women/mothers that holds the family together and is tge head of famiky. Its why black men respond to adversity in an emotional way and often escalate confrontations to the point of violence. 

When i lived in Detroit I had a neighbor, Kevin, younger black dude- overall good fucking dude. He killed 4 people.  Ill tell you how. I know this is getbig and most of you will call bullshit but so be it. Believe it don't believe it It doesn't matter to me one way or the other so here it goes....

Kevin had family over for a BBQ. In the hood people BBQ on their front porch- so did kevin. Anyway some piece of shit 16 year old asshole was walking down the street stopped ans whipped out his dick and pissed on Kevin's front lawn. Kevin tells him to get the fuck off his property.  Calls him a bitch and tells him to get lost. 16 year old asshole walks off but comes back about a half hour later carrying a 25 cal semi auto handgun. A piece of shit gun but can end your life. 16 year old flashes this pieces and holds it up talking about being disrespected etc etc... well Kev had his ccw, drew down and shot this little shit. Kev was on his own property but still had a ccw and always carried. That was the first guy he killed...a kid no less....

Next Kev had an early 80's SS Monte Carlo...super sweet ride. Sittin on 20s as they say. So Kev takes his Dad out for a ride and they pull into a gast station right outside of Belle Isles. Why getting gas 3 guys fucking try to carjack Kevin...3 guys at least 2 were armed. One guy grabs Kevin and pulls him into the alley behind the gas station.  Kevs dad is on his knees all he hears is gun shots and thinks his son is dead. Well as previously noted Kevin has a valid ccw. Kev comes running out of the alleyway shooting. He shoots the two remaining guys. One dies on the spot (along with the guy in the alleyway) the last guy was hit but took off running. His body was found the following morning in a nearby backyard. 

Thats 4 fucking people. Just a guy I used to know living in Detroit. Now thats not typicall for sure. Not everybody in Detroit has killed 4 people but its not unheard of. And thats the wild part. It's just another story in the hood. Kev was a good guy but after awhile you wonder if he lost his respect for life. Interesting post along with your other one. I've heard / read some fucked up stories about people being killed in Detroit. Sometimes just for driving through a neighborhood. And often the murder goes unsolved.

In fact my uncle (same dude from Christmas) was robbed at gun point but my uncle also carried. He pulled his gun and they shot at each other at point blank range. Both fored dozens of rounds and both missed. No one was hit. Same uncle was also arrested for robbery when he was a teenager but was released without being charged. He says he didn't rob anyone but wasn't ever mad at the cops. Always said he understood they were just doing their job. I have no idea whether he did or didn't do it.

You read these stories about these kids shooting and killing people and they just don't give a fuck.

My white friends in Portland are always telling me how great diversity is and how great black people are.  I say " you only think that because you dont fucking know any!" I try to tell them about growing up in Detroit and their such smug, condescending, know it all liberal pricks they dont hear a word I say.

Interesting post, I believe the stories. Interesting way to grow up for a white guy. Well no one can say it better than you having lived as a white man in the black ghetto I guess having seen it all first hand. I'm white: Hungarian, Russian and a tad bit Mongolian. I have no surviving blood relatives.  Im 50 after all. So my wifes family is what ive had for the past 25 years.

My wife is black and Cherokee Indian.

My kids are White/Black/Indian and a tad bit Mongolian.

I grew up in poor black neighborhoods in Detroit.  My white relatives were a bunch of trash ass porch monkeys. My wife grew up in New York and Chicago but her family is from Detroit....

Funny story... one Christmas.... had a few buddies over that I knew from Portland and one of my uncles (father in laws brother from Detroit) we were smoking Cohibas on my balcony and sipping Laphroaig. Getting sentimental about tge holidays....i told a story about my father and what a great man he was - a real hero in my eyes(a firefighter for 40 yrs. Burned once rescuing a guy from a burning home) my buddies all shared fond stories of their fathers (fishing trips, life lessons etc etc..) my uncle a legit O.G. bad ass says "I met my father for the first time when I was 40. I told him 'thanks for nothin mother fucker.' Didnt elaborate.  Offered nothing else. Those candy asses from PDX didn't know what to say! LoL. It was truly priceless.  But it illustrates the differences between growing up black and growing up white. That's mot to say every white has it easy and every black struggles..


In my observations theres just a huge difference in culture.  In white families the dad is typically the backbone and head of the family.  In black families its typically the women/mothers that holds the family together and is tge head of famiky. Its why black men respond to adversity in an emotional way and often escalate confrontations to the point of violence. 

When i lived in Detroit I had a neighbor, Kevin, younger black dude- overall good fucking dude. He killed 4 people.  Ill tell you how. I know this is getbig and most of you will call bullshit but so be it. Believe it don't believe it It doesn't matter to me one way or the other so here it goes....

Kevin had family over for a BBQ. In the hood people BBQ on their front porch- so did kevin. Anyway some piece of shit 16 year old asshole was walking down the street stopped ans whipped out his dick and pissed on Kevin's front lawn. Kevin tells him to get the fuck off his property.  Calls him a bitch and tells him to get lost. 16 year old asshole walks off but comes back about a half hour later carrying a 25 cal semi auto handgun. A piece of shit gun but can end your life. 16 year old flashes this pieces and holds it up talking about being disrespected etc etc... well Kev had his ccw, drew down and shot this little shit. Kev was on his own property but still had a ccw and always carried. That was the first guy he killed...a kid no less....

Next Kev had an early 80's SS Monte Carlo...super sweet ride. Sittin on 20s as they say. So Kev takes his Dad out for a ride and they pull into a gast station right outside of Belle Isles. Why getting gas 3 guys fucking try to carjack Kevin...3 guys at least 2 were armed. One guy grabs Kevin and pulls him into the alley behind the gas station.  Kevs dad is on his knees all he hears is gun shots and thinks his son is dead. Well as previously noted Kevin has a valid ccw. Kev comes running out of the alleyway shooting. He shoots the two remaining guys. One dies on the spot (along with the guy in the alleyway) the last guy was hit but took off running. His body was found the following morning in a nearby backyard. 

Thats 4 fucking people. Just a guy I used to know living in Detroit. Now thats not typicall for sure. Not everybody in Detroit has killed 4 people but its not unheard of. And thats the wild part. I grew up in the ghetto also and now I drive home through an affluent area where people have BLM signs on their lawns and I think to myself if these people ever saw a real Black person they`d shit their pants yet they support a weakass group like BLM and if they ever walked through the hood they would be victims for sure.....once they got home after a hospital stay,if they lived, those fucking signs would be coming off the lawns first thing.
