So do they have a plan for you to prevent this from happening again? Is there like perm damage from it?

I see Henda is doing very deep squats. Is there a reason to go well below 90 degrees? I mean can the knees handle it?

Yeah they removed 1/3rd of my patella and used it to replace my ACL's will deep squats like Henda does put more stress on the patella? Should I aim for those or stay with 90?

I’m on injectable blood thinners for next 6 weeks to try dissolve clots and thin blood and other medications that they give me in morning but not sure what. The angiogram will examine if arteries are narrow and if stent needed then go from there not sure about permanent damage I hope not mate

It’s ok on the knees as long as have the ankle mobility to get low enough in right position but being honest if talking purely for bodybuilding I feel I got better quad development going just above parallel but can’t do it now as soon as approach working weights body just automatically sinks them low.

I think this is the answer - has to do with the persons personal mobility profile.

I went through a phase over the winter going all the way to the bottom.  My knees cracked, and it always felt just "ok" so I have since scrapped.

Will still box squat and front squat, but prefer goblets, step ups, rdl, lunges, etc

Unless you're doing Olympic lifts or in a powerlifting competition there's no reason to go below parallel.

As Henda mentioned, slightly above parallel is probably better for building muscle anyway.

If I were you in your situation I'd do sets of 20 narrow no lockout type pump squats.

As someone who has had knee issues as well, I've found the wider powerlifting stance to put less stress than the narrower stance.

Agree with you about no lockouts, that's how I'm squatting now anyway, keeps constant tension on the muscles.

Wide powerlifting stance puts more stress on the hips.

Look forward to your future hip replacement.
