I remember Platz as the interviewer for that Steroid Interview VHS. Can’t remember the price but it was kind of expensive. Some reason I really thought they’d tell real dosages. Lol. I think Dennis Newman was pretty honest. His total test dosages in the interview were almost 1000.

If you came up with the theme you have a sick, sick mind.  Congats fella, excellent and well done, we all owe you a debt.

Also what exactly is the theme?

Thanks.

Godfather … QUADfather … Dressed like a mafioso, but … because it’s an article (written by me) concerning his “comeback”/legs training, gotta feature the wheels …

This was around the time of the WBF. The squat-off era. Tom was being vague about re-entering competition.

Despite being a big fan, I was extremely uncomfortable with the thought. He was FAR from his biggest and best, and it was the time of Dorian, etc.

Regardless, it was cool he’d kinda returned to bodybuilding, after several years away from the scene.

P.S. NOT a fan of his wife. She’s pushy, bizarre and flaky.

P.P.S. That protein supplement bullshit is extraordinarily lame, late and embarrassing.

I kind of get what you mean - for me I think it's something to do with his earnestness

Also, he's one of those people with a specific genetically gifted body part who then tries to tell you that the reason for the way it looks is not the origins, insertions, etc. but the 'special' way they exercised...

Think
Platz - quads
Franco - lats
Beckles - peaked biceps
Boyer Coe - split biceps

You get the idea...

I remember seeing that Stallone pudding in a fitness shop once. I just laughed at how expensive it was.  Total bullshit. Eat a chicken breast.

I bought it once or twice while in college. Tasted decent. Should've just bought SPY instead

Like the mixing instructions. Stirring something for 7 seconds have been found scientifically superior to shaking.

You've heart of this thing, 8 second stirring?

Well this is going to blow that right out of the water. Listen to this:

Some interesting quotes from Tom about his wife on insta

"Cha says I have two great qualities as a patient. (1) I listen. (2) I’m 100% compliant."

"Steve Jobs from Apple used to call Cha. In 1983, Steve said, if people do not believe everything they read online, they’ll be fine."

"You must stand for something; otherwise you will fall for everything! (Quote stolen from Cha years ago.)"

7's the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 dwarves. 7, man, that's the number. 7 chipmunks twirlin' on a branch, eatin' lots of sunflowers on my uncle's ranch. You know that old children's tale from the sea.

And "Cha" stole it from an Aaron Tippin song

I'm getting vibes that she's full of shit and Tom fell for it. But it seems he has been madly in love with her for over several decades and is obviously very happy.

This is a great example of how ignorance can be bliss.

Platz's family is from Michigan. As a boy he learned how to squat by going to a high level OL gym (Armento's).

If you want Platz the wife must come too -

https://www.oldschoollabs.com/tom-platz-dr-cha-brand-ambassador/ .

I trained at Armento’s for a week in 1980. Kick ass cool gym. Rowdy neighborhood. Some big strong cats came out of that gym.

All Olympic bars had (1) 45 pound plate placed on each side and a C-clamp was then placed over the 45 pound plate and tighten with a large box wrench. You could not remove the clamp or 45 pound plate. Any set started with 135 pounds.  Absolutely true.
