Going to Boston tomorrow for the rest of this week.

Anyone from that area? Any good gyms recommended to try there? Any good place for good food?

Be carefal with Jasmine rice as it can send your blood glucose levels rocketing. It actually has a higher GI value than pure glucose!

Touristy: Chinatown / North End for chinese/italian. I would google for the authentic ones in Chinatown.   Giaccomo's is really good in north end but most restaurants there are great.  Fanuel Hall is fun to walk through and sample food.

Not touristy: I enjoyed Banyan Bar in the South End, Buttermilk and Bourbon is good on Comm Ave, Ilona (mediterranean tapas) is good too.  Small uber, but Kura for sushi (get the app and get on waitlist) and I think Trillium Brewery in Fenway is awesome.

They have a couple equinox gyms if you're into that.

Anytime.

Trilliium Brewery at one point was the #3 brewery in the world.

Actually just looked - the Fort Point one in Boston has a better beer selection and menu than the Fenway one.

If you go, try a Mosaic Double Dry Hopped Fort Point, and a Swishium.

You mean angry at God for making him a total fuckup?

Brian - I don’t think you understand competitive BB. You kind of came to the game a little late seeing that you first competed in your mid 40’s. Many of us competed and new pros back in the early / mid 90’s (and guys like Wes even personally knew Sandow). Your weight doesn’t mean a damn thing. You can put weigh someone by 50 lbs and standing RIGHT NEXT to them you can still look smaller.

So I think the confusion is that you don’t realize how you look. You are taking what those around you say as gospel. ALL of us get told we are enormous by friends and family. I bet I’m not the only one who got a rude awakening at my first show because everyone in my gym at the time praised me and told me I was going to walk away with the win. I ignored the guys (who later became my best friends and still are) who told me I needed more time dieting. Got my ass kicked. I have a very good friend that is a pro. He is lighter than you but has won overall in almost every show he was in.

You have a lean physique. But here are the critiques and hopefully you can be an adult and not get butt hurt. I don’t care about scales or tape measures. This is how you LOOK.

- You “look” narrow. This is not disputable. Every picture you’ve posted your head looks about 1/2 your width.
- Your muscle bellies are not round at all which makes you “look” stringy.
- Your legs “look” tiny. Zero sweep.

I am absolutely not narrow. When taking a photo from a close distance your head will look bigger it is an optical illusion due to lens size as I am using the video to take the pics it is the wrong size lens for a closeup. If someone took the same photo from a greater distance with the correct lens my head would not look as large. But my shoulder width is great I have large shoulders.   My legs are getting bigger. My muscles are rounder at a heavier weight. Thinking weight doesn't matter is absurd. If you want to be a lean x weight you have to first get to that weight and then some. I have no desire to try and be the most aesthetically pleasing 200lb man I was there when I was younger. I am older now I do have imbalances and injuries. At this point it is about size. I am going to get bigger a lot bigger.
