Obviously.

He was alive when he had cancer but he died when he got COVID.

Not sure. I doubt there is enough data to calculate this.

I suspect it will increase your odds of dying from COVID though.

Or maybe not. With each COVID infection contract, we may become a bit more resistant to it and the various COVID mutations. COVID is not cancer, heart, or kidney disease. It's a virus, people sometimes build an immunity to viruses via antibodies. The fact is there are still more unknowns about COVID then there are knowns.
