The Scott certainly had his...hmm...dislikes, yes; nor was he shy about voicing his hatred of certain people (Muslims in particular, iirc).
Not to excuse that with a Tu Quoque, *but*, the hatred of which you speak is endemic of this board's culture. I haven't wished anyone dead, but that level of hostility is as common as fleas hopping about a dying old dog in the bogs of Georgia. Josh versus Bwanks. Bwanker v. Wes or MM. Matt C. v. half the people trying to give him advice. Both Vinces going at each other. Alex and Mirza versus everybody.
I think if you sat down and shared a brew with Scott, he'd be the first to say he doesn't *literally* wish death on anyone here. Getbig is rife with delusional, arrogant assholes, but I reckon the whole "I wish you were dead, pond scum!" is hyperbole.
Of course, I could be wrong. It happens a dozen or more times daily 
The Scott may have been or is a good person in person, My take on him was/is not exactly that. Vitriol, "typist" he was like a character out of a movie like Grumpy Old Men. Having said that, I'm told its common behavior for otherwise decent people to act like jerks on this board because its a "getbigger" thing. I personally never bought in to that as I am in real life as you see me here. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. And of course if he turns out to be expired, I will joint the bandwagon of accolades of how he will be missed etc etc. But gun to my head... Muppets Old man in the box theater will forever be etched in my brain with the Scott..
One thing I did appreciate or do appreciate about TS is his inner struggle with not believing the bible but really respecting what Jesus had to say... We did/do agree on that
On a final note, I hope he's okay. While we differed in 90% of topics, he never crossed the line to the point I would not have a beer with him
