The Gray Man on Netflix - Excellent!
« on: July 28, 2022, 02:03:55 AM »
The Gray Man is a great movie. Fantastic action and Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans are good in this. Highly recommend it. Gosling was also very good in Drive and The Place Beyond the Pines. He's had quite a few good movies. Underrated actor IMO. He can pull off scenes without any dialogue as Steve McQueen could.

I thought some of the CGI was cheesy, but other than that it was a pretty good movie. Some of the production on these Netflix action movies is B level, even though they have A level actors.

See i find Gosling so bland, no presence, drive the most overrated movie, 1 decent scene in a lift. Place beyond the pines also overrated, so forgettable.
I'll check this out, looks decent apart from naff cgi

Yeah well it's a movie. Realistic action would have fights that resemble those in Resurrection Ertugrul. It's comical to see their fight scenes. But then I thought that's probably how it would be in real life. Because people are not superheroes.

100% agree with you on Drive. Massively overrated. I watched it and regretted it. The only thing I think I've ever seen Ryan Gosling in and both enjoyed and thought he was okay in was The Nice Guys.

Nice Guys was Hilarious.  I liked when he stomped that dudes head out in the elevator in Drive

The thing is I really think the era of great, classic movies is over. This era is cgi, fluff, straight to streaming. You don't even go to a theater anymore. In the scheme of what's out there it was worth a watch.

It was good, especially considering the shit that’s been produced last few years. Not woke so I liked it.  Surprised there wasn’t a scene where Gosling had to pee sitting down.

Come to think of it, I can see Wes looking a lot like Goose back in his younger days.
