Why though?

Im not religious at all. I suppose I'm agnostic or athiest. So knowing that my beliefs run contrary to the church I would never go to the church and try and impose my beliefs.

That's one of the more disturbing elements of the woke movement. It's no longer enough to 'live and let live' it's no longer enough to merely accept others way of life or life choices. You now have to embrace it in every facet of your own life. It's no longer good enough to be supportive of a given movement,  you now are compelled to be "Anti" of any contrary belief.

'Based' has a few different slang meanings but I've always interpreted it to mean something along the something along the lines of "based in reality".

Like if someone says men can't be women, they're based.

Or if they're honest about crime demographics, they're based.

If someone defines abortion NOT as a "choice" or "reproductive rights" but as what it really is, they're based.

It basically means stepping outside the media programming and not being influenced by, and not using, their word magic.
