Bertil lived in the same area I grew up in and I've heard a lot of stories from people who knew the real Bertil. He had a temper and a permanent chip on his shoulder and the mentality that everyone was out to get him. The shootings totally fit his character.

"He said he had shot Leyoca and her mother," Tross told the court. "He said Leyoca's mother was pushing him out the door. At that point he pulled out the gun and started shooting." A seamstress at the dress shop also gave testimony incriminating Fox."

The audio quality is low, but from 27 - 36 minutes, they describe Bertil's relationship and the murder. At 32-34:30 minutes or so, is just a description of the murder -

His GF was shot in the back, her mother was shot in the leg and neck. From the film, it sounds like Bertil was scared of losing his 20 year old beauty queen girlfriend, and the mother and the girlfriends were trying to get her to leave him. It paints Bertil as a burn out.
