The Thunder Bay Regional Hospital has 22 ICU beds. The max used during the pandemic was 27, which is very normal.

In 2013, the TBRH was at or above 22 ICU beds [in gridlock] 320 out of 365 days of the year.

Our hospital wasn't overwhelmed during the pandemic - it was empty.

I don't get flu shots, since flus have effectively a 0% chance of killing a man in my age and health status.

However, if I was over 265-lb of primarily body fat, I would look more closely at the death data for people in that demographic. Although I'd probably lose weight before getting the vaccine. But if I was too lazy - then sure, pharmaceutical intervention could help.

But since zero healthy Canadians in my age and health status died, why would I get vaccinated?

It's the same logic I apply to not getting flu shots.
