Very smart to get off of it if blood thickens with age and use.
I monitor mine closely, 4 times a years (bloods). All  my stuff stays in range. I always ran a bit high (hematocrit=48) even before TRT.
(I do .5 cc a week only (125 mg's).

I stay at 48 now (hematocrit), but I do two low dose (coated) aspirins a day along with the TRT. Anything changes with age, I'm gladly jumping off.
Right now things are OK at age 56 w/ it.

Like any medication (or "bio-identicals")  :o you have to monitor this stuff closely.

A 48 hematocrit puts you in the top ranks of undoped professional cyclists. maybe you should go buy a bike, haha

He said HRT not just TRT that means bioidentical Human Growth Hormone therapy. I would say it's a money thing if you can afford to keep your test and HGH levels at 25 years old then absolutely do it but if you are a drunk slob it doesn't really matter anyway

Covid put you in ICU….obviously a very unhealthy individual, forget about TRT.
:)  What's funny is I had none of the comorbidity or age risks.  I asked numerous docs why it hit my lungs so hard.   He said, off the record, it was probably because the Chinks engineered it to take down white western men.   That's a true story.

You are a poster boy for the negative side effects of hGH.

You have facial bone enlargement (acromegaly).
You have the beginning signs of CHF.
You have edema, high cholesterol, and probably headed toward diabetes.

You of all people should not be giving medical advice. Being coy about your drug use and thinking you can outsmart the side effects of the drugs you take is going to put you in a coffin much sooner than later.

A short narrow coffin, but a coffin nonetheless.

Mortality rates are higher, (from those w/ low HDL and low total cholesterol) than people with high.
(Which is the opposite of what any Dr. is told to tell us).

Your HDL is low even though you exercise all the time. Your LDL isn't high but with the HDL low it makes a bad ratio. With all your other problems with anemia and swelling and high resting heartrate you should get yourself checked out.

I don't know if it is "worse" but it might not be as good as you think. Don't ignore all your other problems just because your total cholesterol is OK.

What other problems my BP is also in the ideal range. I get some ankle swelling after training legs because I have bad knees. My resting heart rate is right at the top of the normal range. I had some anemia issues related to my Crohns but it has been in remission for months despite not taking any of the 3 medications my gastro said I was supposed to take daily the rest of my life. Oh yeah and I spent yesterday running up and down a sandy beach dragging a kid on a boogie board despite my orthopedic telling me 3 years ago he needed to shave down the bones in my legs if I wanted to walk again without a cane. I am doing great

Your numbers look fine. I was just stating some of the things I've read about over the years of studying lipids, meds and similar.

Tried a lot of stuff.  Was doing ok till covid put me in the ICU for a month last year.  Since then everything has fallen off a cliff...energy, stamina, libido, mental focus.  HRT would be in combination with vitamin therapy and possible some adjustments to the thyroid.

That's a rough outcome. Hope they put you right soon.

Testosterone increased my energy and aggressiveness (although I'm naturally a hot tempered guy). Didn't do shit for my sex drive. Actually reduced it marginally. HCG, on the other hand, put my nuts in overdrive. If I go on trt, I'm going to research HCG alongside T or just on it's own.

I'm not interested in GH. It looks like rocket fuel for cancer to me. Orals, I liked oxandrolone and didn't notice any sides at moderate doses.

Your HDL is low even though you exercise all the time. Your LDL isn't high but with the HDL low it makes a bad ratio. With all your other problems with anemia and swelling and high resting heartrate you should get yourself checked out.

HDL is lowered by steroids although orals are the biggest culprit. Winstrol can lower your HDL to zero pretty quickly. Zero.

Regarding high red blood cells. I haven't researched it closely but some experts and doctors say there's probably no harm in it running a bit high. They advice against blood donation. I asked an experienced endo whether there's any proof that blood donation is healthy or leads to better outcomes in HRT patients and he said it's true we don't know but that "we just don't like seeing high numbers." How high can RBC get if you are at high altitude? They say the same kind of numbers from TRT are fine, you don't have people at high altitude donating blood.

HRT = hormone replacement therapy
Human Growth Hormone therapy is something totally different

They do differentiate between HRT and TRT. All the clinics offer GH too as part of HRT. Could include thyroid as well, and probably some other hormones like DHEA. If I had the opportunity I would use GH as well, many people on HRT love it of course. Over time it leads to a leaner body composition and many notice better sleep, better skin and so on. Should help joints and general recovery from injuries.
Personally I wouldn't worry about the potential cancer risk but some people are so paranoid they have lowered their protein intake and even eliminated milk products as milk protein increases IGF-1 and eventually cancer risk.

when you post a photo of a BP cuff monitor reading 247/164, I dont think the assumption is required.

Forgive my ignorance but what is real tongkat?

Tongkat Ali is a root powder with the supposed ability to increase Test levels around 75-150 points or so. Google Andrew Huberman and tongkat ali to see where I got the info from.  I don't usually buy into this kind of stuff, but this dude has been right before, IMO.  I tried his sleep concoction of L Theanine, Magnesium Threonate, and Apigenin for a few months and it was f'n money, so I believe him.

My test levels are mid 500s, so not bad.  Am trying this for 6 months and will get tested again.

When I say "real" tongkat, there's a ton of fake shit out there.  I used the version from microingredients .com.  $28 for 6 months, so it's a very inexpensive shot to try.  Powder tasted like a combination of battery acid and ground pennies.
