House isn't a rental and is fine. Normal, modest (smallish) house, paid off well-over a decade ago, also no car payments for a decade.
Nothing fancy here, that's not how I roll. Simple, clean, paid-for (and mine).
I have zero-debt, which I love.

I do upgrades as I feel like doing, and that flower-box window, yup, that's getting yanked...

Always bought well below my means, never went for the "showy" stuff. (Cars, houses, etc).
I drive cars until they die on the road, and I have them towed away. (I buy 3-year old Honda C-RV's so they last quite a long time).

We all have those friends (or folks we know) that buy the biggest houses, expensive cars, but are always in debt. (Some go bankrupt).
And have way-less income, etc.  The American way!!

I paid off my house and both cars a few years ago.Having zero debt as I am sure you can attest is the best feeling in the world.A large weight was lifted off my shoulders when that shit was paid for.

I had to haul a dead kangaroo out from under an elevated porch at my place. It had been there awhile. Reeked like wet death and was all bloated up. Full maggot loaded, 100 million flies buzzing. I tied a rope around its leg, manhauled it clear, lashed that bitch to the quad, and drug it out to the forest. Thankfully it held together as it bumped over rocks and down the dirt  paths so I didn't have to deal with it in decomposed portions.

I felt butch as fuck.

Yes, I tried calling the ranger first but he just laughed at me.


There's shit you can spray on your house that will stop them and everything else from coming back. Idk if it'll kill you and everyone else in the house but it sure keeps the bugs away.
