I had this conversation with my son yesturday. Pay should be down to draw/attraction. Its exactly the same as a movie star, it's not the men are on this much and the women on that much, it depends on what returns they can bring in. Womens sport, football for example doesn't bring in anywhere near the audience of mens so where is the pay coming from,  its business at the end of the day.

10% is a huge margin in those events though.  The best high school boys in any given year can approach or exceed most of those women’s world records.

You also see the bigger margins in those events at the bottom which are more driven by a single explosive burst of power (nh).

The equal pay thing is nonsense and betrays a lack of understanding of basic finance.  The women players will be paid the same as the men players when they generate the same revenue as the men.

I had/have no clue. I know as far as being competitive the wimmins team is better than the mens. I can name three women, rapanoe, solo and Alex Morgan. Can’t name one dude not named Alexi Lalas.
