Exactly! But retards like Oak think once guns are banned criminals won't get guns! They deserve to get shot by a criminal, and hopefully survive but are crippled for life, so they can learn how moronic and naïve they were. Banning guns means the following:

1. Law-abiding citizens won't have guns to protect themselves from criminals or a tyrannical government.
2. Criminals will still have guns and will be empowered because their victims won't have guns.
3. Governments will still have guns and be able to flex more on their law-abiding citizens.

The second amendment was provided because the people had just experienced a tyrannical British government flexing on them - hence the war for independence. The second amendment is not there so you can go hunt with your guns. It's to provide the public with a means to resist a tyrannical government.

Yes, it is safer than most countries regardless of the mass shootings. The reason is that people have guns and this deters some people.

Look a the murder rates by country in 2022. The Virgin Islands with a bunch of savages give the US a bad statistic. Overall US homicide rate is 4.96. If you discount black-on-black and black-on-white murders the US homicide rate would probably be close to China's numbers!

Even Greenland has a higher homicide rate!
