Marrying for money - Would you?
« on: September 13, 2022, 02:12:42 AM »
In times of hardship, would you marry someone in a fixed arrangement where you never meet the bride and only receive 10 or 15k so she could have citizenship? Just to get divorced 6 months later, and go on with your life?

Not for that amount of money. I would marry Sara Piana for a year so she could get her citizenship here in the US (from Iceland) though. I would bang her so much in that year I would be sick of sex.

No. Also depending on where this person is trying to get citizenship there are tests to make sure the marriage wasn't just for citizenship.

You need to spend time with each other, get to know personal and intimate details, have a history of pics together, texts etc and actually build a "real" relationship.

You are correct sir. Like in that episode of American Dad - where Haley had to transplant her brain into a fish so that she could live in the bowl with Klaus and he could become a citizen. Didn’t work out well for them.

My goal is to marry Dr. Goodrum, PhD, CSN, MFT, HPP, CEO, for his billions.

But, of course, I’m seeking a long term relationship.

One would not even meet the bride. Just deal with one's lawyer.

it's not 6 months, it's more like 3-5 years till you can get divorced

As long as it's only for a few months and it's a woman I would definitely.

They pay all expenses.

Maybe if one (fake) marry every couple of years for years on end, would get some legal scrutiny. And do not marry prostitutes or high profile female athletes obviously, i would say.

in america? nah, you think the govt has the resources to vet a marriage? the personnel to scrutinize the validity of ever marriage involving a non citizen? anecdotal, but i know at least 7 different people involved in a pay for greencard marriage. you just need to have some photos and be in the same age range

It depends on the situation.

If there is child custody involved, they absolutely will vet the marriage.

My GF's good friend is going through this right now. And she is not allowed to leave the area. Has to check in with social workers once a week.

She is from Mexico. Met an American, fell in love, moved to Albuquerque, got married 2 years ago, had a child, now are going through a divorce and child custody hearing.

He is wealthy and she is shit poor.

Her American citizenship is being revoked and she is not allowed to return to Mexico until the hearings are over.

----

To the original question, if there was a no strings attached arranged marriage for money, i would do it in a heartbeat. But i would not live with the bitch or even see her.

Don't really know about the US, but I'd guess if say an Italian American married a home grown Italian or a Jew in NY married an Israeli Jew or some American bimbo marries a Welsh bodybuilder then no one would bat an eyelid.

Once you sign that piece of paper a formerly great relationship is headed for disaster.

Just live with them.

Living with her is out of the question, or even meet her, nor children involved.

The point is just sign the contract (with the prenup obviously) and get the money, if ones finances go south for whatever reason.

Back to the initial question:

A temporary "marriage" (3-6 months) then to be dissolved amicably, Getbigger to be compensated generously, woman to be genetically female, if ugly no sex required, all expenses paid, legal documents fully in force.
