That's what I got out of it, old Rocky plots with some late 80's, 90's karate film stuff thrown in. Villian back from the dead (jail), feels resentment, starts taking out Rocky's fighters one by one till Rocky is forced to fight him.

The should've just remade Diggstown and stuck Rocky in it.

Michael B Jordan, the guy who plays Creed is also directing it. He wants it to be a solely Creed franchise now, feeling they gave Rocky a good enough send off in Creed II. The producers and film company agreed with this, and boxed Stallone out of the film. He'll get a "based on" and producer credit, but won't be in anymore films if Jordan and the other producers have their way.

Stallone himself wants to do a Rocky Prequel series for Netflix or similar. 10 episodes chronicling young Rocky's life.

little of topic..... funny how Arnold never portrayed an athlete in any of his movies like Sly did.... maybe he threw a ball like a girl?....maybe he had heavy feet? bad hand eye coordination? or just non athletic, sport wise in general.
