I have tried this throughout my training life.  I had friends that experienced very good results from his 4 day routine but even when I trained with them on that routine I never made any real progress and I think I know why.

My friends took steroids.  Three to five Dianabol a day. Some guys took the one tablet  per main meal while others took all 3 or 5 at once in the morning.  Even in Brooks Kubik's excellent book "Dinosaur Training" he speaks of heavy, hard training with plenty of rest and a good balanced diet.

Brooks also compared Dinosaur Training and its  results to a slender man who starts work at a lumber mill.  His first day is filled with heavy, difficult work that requires maximum effort.  When finished his subject can barely eat his meal and then passes out in his bunk and sleeps for hours.

Repeat.  After several  months of this work the slender man has added pounds of powerful muscle to his frame.  Intense heavy workloads have done their magic.  He then says that Dinosaur training is like that.  What  he fails to recognize is that the lumber mill is not a 30 minute session of high intensity training done 2 to 4 days a week, it is an ALL day thing for 5 days or more a week.  Hours of very heavy work.  That sounds like volume training to me.

Brooks also recognizes that steroids make it possible for your body to not only recover faster, but more  importantly, it rebuild itself a LOT faster to be bigger and stronger.  What takes a natural person months if not years to accomplish, someone on steroids can do in days or weeks.    Mentzer's training methods are fine for steroid users but so too are they fine for volume proponents.

The truth is that training either volume or high intensity styles work but they also work much better when on drugs.  If you train for two hours a day, twice a day for six days a week, you had better be on the juice or get used to eating thousands of calories a day and not having time for much else but training.

HIT and its variants can work for you if you are natural but  they will not deliver the same results we saw in the Mentzers or Viator unless you are taking the stuff they were. Volume training will also work for you but again, unless you are taking what Arnold took your results won't just "vary" they will pale in comparison to his.   Same with Zane, Draper, Haney, et al.

Find what works best for you but keep in mind that all training takes time to show results.  It's just that with steroids it takes less time.  A lot less time.  And no, I do not mind those that take steroids so long as they don't belittle those that do not take them.  And women on male hormones is a slap in the face to real men.  It's as disgusting as a man on estrogen.

And yes, once any of us stop training we will shrink down to our base level or less.  Those that use steroids will drop their muscular size and strength a lot faster and they do suffer mentally and physically from it.  Just look at Coleman.

Yes..yes   but look at Position of Flexion training. If i do an overhead french press i feel it in an area.
I agree all will contract (to an extent) but the 3 positions cannot be denied, Stretch, midrange, contraction.
