Can we stop just for a moment and examine how coping with the loss of a blue T-shirt compares to being an  animal thats getting beaten to death- in terms of facing adversity.

In reviewing the blue T shirt incident; at what point does Mike bite back? He moreso came across as being the type of dog that would roll over and die.

Katz is the most persecuted bodybuilder ever. There's nothing he hasn't endured, including having his bicycle fenders scrutinized. Fortunately, Mike was able to convince himself that the audience always chose him above all others.

Before Joey took the "position," he heard the question he dreaded most when Kike asked him, "Does Daddy have a big muscle?"

All kidding aside, in addition to his ostentatiously hetero persona, we all know the man was a looney.  I can almost understand his teenaged frustrations and anger ("I'll show them!").  A teenager is flooded with hormones and his brain is still developing.  Pair that with how he was bullied (probably to a far greater degree than he let on), and his wacky mindset makes even more sense -- *for a teenager*.

By the time PI was filmed, he was a grown-ass man with a career and family to take care of; still, he was stuck in that self-arrested mindset that lead him to think in extremes.  "I'm the kind of dog that's not just gonna roll over and die"...

Granted, most of his contemporaries were no deep philosophers themselves, like that dude that blathered on about the "wolf on the hill" :/  But, really: what sane ADULT person internalises things the way Rusty Fenderenski did?

BUT I'm also the type of person that will utterly fall apart and lose all composure if you take my blue t-shirt. In fact taking my 'crusher' T- shirt will render me so meek that I will probably go and congratulate the guy who beat me, stole imy shirt and humilliated me in the process.

I don't recall why he was laughing but I do remember reading here that Big Tony had passed away.     :'(

Also in one of these Gold's Gym scenes around the desk you can see Mike Mentzer at the far end of the desk.

Big Tony was the enforcer. He also made the Arnold Classic jackets. He liked to laugh and eat citrus. That’s all I know
