When is that Jake guy going to box an actual boxer? He keeps fighting old retired mma guys that never specialized in boxing.

Nonsense Silva has way too much pride and doesn't need the money he wanted to win that fight

I'd have hoped so too but what the fuck was that? He was throwing shots like they were filming a movie - no power in them. And he was doing fuck all. Pure age? Maybe, but not one of Jake Paul's opponents has turned up to fight. They all get in there and do nothing. It's ridiculous.

That's What I don't get. Jake fighting a past his prime Silva, in a boxing match?

In an mma fight, Silva whoops his ass. Maybe this Jake guy has some actual talent. Maybe all these fights are fixed. These exhibition fights are all fixed. Remember when Rocky told Hogan to take it easy?

Dude is 47 years old and not a boxer so yeah age is going to be a factor having said that he was walking Paul down and putting real pressure on him he did the best he could. Silvas shots always look like that and they stopped a lot of MMA guys in 4 ounce gloves. I thought it was a good competitive fight remember most boxers are fighting guys with 0 chance their 5th fight this looked like a legit 50/50 hard fought contest

By the way, the low-end estimates on what Silva will likely walk away with from this fight is supposedly $1.5 million. $500K guaranteed for showing and 35% of the PPV revenue. Depending on the actual PPV sales, Silva could end up with a much bigger purse, but reasonable low-end estimates suggest around $1.5 Million. Considering the taxes he will pay as an independent contractor, he could very easily pocket closer to $1 million at the low end of figures after all is said and done.

Jake Paul said he would have been happy with 300,000 PPV buys, but that he can imagine closer to 700,000 PPV buys if the promotion gets it right. Let's just assume they make 300,000 PPV buys at $60/PPV, in that case Anderson would walk away with as high as $6 million on pay per view buys alone.

Not a bad pay day considering he didn't viciously get knocked out. This is a nice pay day for a tough sparring session.

He never will. He's making more money boxing MMA guys on PPV. A real boxer would expose him and then he wouldn't make as much money on future fights.

He might get a pass if he fights the offspring of a high-profile boxer and gets knocked smooth the "F" out. Might lose his social following but boxing hardcore will give him props.

"I'll fight ANYONE, ANY TIME, ANY PLACE."
- Jake Paul.

HAHAHAHAHA.

That's like me having a bench-off with him.

He's a BOXER fighting MMA FIGHTERS at BOXING.

Of course he will win!

He wouldn't last a round with any UFC middleweight in an MMA fight.

In fact, it's possible he wouldn't last 60 seconds. But he certainly would not last a round.

Nice gimmick he's got going though.

One sparring match he probably made more than his whole entire career in the UFC

Georges St-Pierre only $12M in 2013, and that was pre-tax. So Anderson Silva probably made something similar.

It's too bad that Silva is still fighting at his age [assuming it's out of necessity], but he's still remarkably sharp for his age.

As for Jake Paul, this all ends for him when he fights an actual boxer. Not to say he isn't talented at boxing, but it bears repeating that he is a boxer fighting MMA fighters in boxing matches.

It would be like any of us having a bench press contest with him.

Jake Paul has had Tommy Fury pull out twice and Hasim Jr fail to make weight and he is begging Canelo for a fight what more is he supposed to do? Boxers with names who can sell PPV don't want the smoke

Rubbish. This is all smoke and mirrors. It's WWE-style marketing to take advantage of the morons who follow celebrity culture. He only fights smaller guys and non-boxers. Hasim used to spar him like how you'd spar a girl. He would stand there letting him throw shots and barely touch him back. They tried to get Hasim to boil down to a weight that was impossible to make and could lead to brain inuries - and why? No reason, other than Jake will never get in the ring with an actual boxer on a level playing field.

Tommy is a novice, not disciplined, and not a hard puncher, so Jake may actually have a shot. It doesn't seem like these fights are falling through just because of Tommy, though. Jake's team make all sorts of stupid demands and set arbitrary time constraints in order to pull out and make it look like it's everyone else's fault.

Of course he'd fight Canelo. Who wouldn't want to get quickly KO'd against someone ranked as P4P number 1 in order to make millions of dollars? His aim has always been to scam this industry and make easy money - not to prove himself as a legitimate boxer.

Jake Paul started too late to make a legit run at a championship. That said, he's taking it very seriously and looks better every time out. For zero amateur background and only 5 fights, he looks pretty good. He's good for the sport and combat athletes overall.  Look at all the decorated fighters that come out of the Olympics and high level competition who get fed tomato cans as a pro for years before facing a test. Why aren't they being ripped apart? Jake is doing it right and building himself up along the way. Tommy Fury and Rahman both pussed out on multiple occasions. Also, Anderson Silva has legit boxing and acquitted himself quite well too. Entertaining fight.
