Yep, never seen a girl win. Some of the bigger FBBs let guys get rougher, but they never win. Usually the loss is by some sort of choke out -

He was for a little while. Dillet wasn't quite cut enough; so Ray McNeil bested him at the North Americans.

He placed 15th at the 1993 Olympia but I don't think he qualified in 1994.

Somebody has to do so. Otherwise the cycle continues. Sally McNeil's mother was abused; Sally McNeil was abused; and, according to this series, McNeil's daughter, Shawntina, endured abuse for 3 years.

That's three generations of women, getting slapped around.

I did not know either of them personally but as a Marine and living in the same place, I knew the same circle of people. 

Ray attracted the girls and Sally attracted weirdos.

Ray may have had a short fuse but Sally’s was shorter. 

It was no surprise to my friends when she killed him but more of a surprise he kept her around so long.

If Ray could have brought up his calves and tri’s, he would have been even more well known.   His lower body just never matched his upper body.


McCabes used to be the place in Oceanside.  My Marine buddy bounced there and I was there quite a bit.  I remember Dennis Newmans ex used to work there.  A lot of Jar Head fighting with locals when I was there.   The girls were aggressive and wild.  There was many times I left there at closing, drive back to base and then run 5-10 miles in the hills.  Crazy times.

Some thoughts.

From Sally’s decisions, specifically to go for stay with Ray and then subject herself and children to violence and not flee, and her tone and affect, what appears to me is that she is dumb, like literally lowish-IQ dumb.

Listening to Ray in videotaped footage about his right to belt his children while smiling was highly disturbing.

I got all happy when I heard her describing his death by gunshots. Child abusers make me sick.
