All of politics seems like a theater run by scammers and handled by opportunists. The thing that has changed is the quality of the actors. The politicians of old were, in some parts, more remarkable characters and they seemed to have more elbow room & dignity. There's no country you can hide from the foul play that's going on - the world has become the pseudo elite's oyster.
