Good morning, Getbig.

21 years ago today, the world watched in horror as democracy and freedom itself were attacked. Many in my Muslim community openly wept as we witnessed the fortitude and compassion of the American people as they struggled to rebuild during the aftermath.

I want to let you all know that we in the UK are thinking of you all today as we mark this tragic anniversary. I'm erecting an American flag in my garden and will be blasting out Don Mclean's "American Pie" from the loudspeaker of the mosque tonight.
