Every 4-5 weeks the Sunday edition of the LA Times has an 8-page insert from China Daily featuring praise and pride at economic growth and things CCP. 
Last year an article claimed that China’s economic growth has brought 750 million people out of poverty.  That leaves about 750 million still in poverty.

China is also building 100s of coal-fired plants for other nations.  They produce more electricity from coal-fired plants than we do from all sources.

We in the West will pursue renewables while China pursues one 5-year plan after another, allowing China to take the lead in the world economically.
