Vince I've signed several no compete clauses.

Typically they are not worth the head for the company to chase you down, especially if you're not high up on the corporate ladder.

Side note, i'm sure you know this,  Spectrum uses Verizon's towers for their cellular plan so if you ended up with spectrum you would have zero issues.

A lot of companies have been doing this to low level workers ...McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts recently settled a lawsuit.  Its not really an issue because ive not applied for anything yet...no plans at least until March

I think you just confirmed my point then. Also a compete clause is hard to enforce when the company lays you off. The should have fired you, they would have better legal standing.

The good news for you is the problem you said you have isn’t really a problem now. You’ve got to wait it out until March.

Verizon , T-Mobile, AT&T are some of the most ruthless companies around along with every other telecommunications company.  Device payment agreements require an arbitrator which can run 5k -10k.  Because they control the media, they can literally blank out most negative press about them.  Once i stopped getting my employee discount, i moved my service to Mint Mobile.

Whatever you do, never sign a device payment agreement and buy your phones directly from the manufacturer so your phone is unlocked and youre free to go anywhere you want

At the time i left Verizon, i was spending a ton of money hiring people set up new websites for going back into affiliate marketing.  So far its in the toilet....really in the toilet. The good thing is thst im getting more orders because im able to answer the phone for customers and the livestreams are doing ok so my income is solid but i have to make sure it keeps pace

What worries me is that if i get into a little financial trouble , i may not be able to go to Spectrum or AT&T as Verizon may enforce the 1 year no compete clause.  I can sell products under my business which im doing with Mint Mobile, US Mobile, and Easy Wireless but as an actual employee i could get hit

I've not worked for Verizon since August, im not collecting unemployment or other benefits.  I also don't really have any bills like car payments, home, credit cards, etc.  My income comes from my ecommerce sites and Youtube channel nowadays which is more than enough to cover things.  I dont live paycheck to paycheck.    I can go back to Verizon if i decide to move to a service location but i like where i live.  Im just seeing a number lucrative offers right now at places like Spectrum with signing bonuses.  Like i said, i'll decide in March.

In the meantime , i would suggest for you to get lost or get shitted on

Being in corrections formerly, i know that there's no program where 80% of your sentence would just be shaved off...especially with the Feds.  With PJ's release date still being 2025, there is a high chance there must have been some deal struck.  The Feds only fish up stream
