In this case it's the left trying to remove a statistic that the CDC themselves put out that there are more defensive guns shootings than actual any other shooting (aside from hunting) ie; School, mass, etc because that kills their "gun control" narrative that they're always pushing. So if you eliminate that stat and keep the "guns are bad" narrative. Just hide it like they do everything else.
There are over 20,000 state and county and 300+ federal "gun control" laws on the books. MOST are Democrat agenda driven policies and laws that are designed whittle down and infringe on the Second Amendment. if you don't know what the Second Amendment is aside from what you hear and not study or research, I suggest you get a basic knowledge of it.
Examples of what these Democrat infringments and laws have caused? Look no further than school shootings, although they're a fraction of what the media says they are the most tragic because if the innocents involved. it's left policies that encourage these psychos and criminals to pull shit like this off because these policies create soft targets or "gun free zones" just the words "gun free zones" is an invitation. How does this affect our second amendment rights?
Teachers can't carry, school super vision can't carry even if they’re trained. No way to protect themselves or kids. in most states you can't come with in a 1000ft of a campus with a firearm even if you're an off duty cop. You can't even drop your kid off for school if you have firearm in the vehicle concealed, in the trunk or wherever....infringment
You're in NY, that's the one of top 3 most anti-2a states in the country, you're fucked because even though the SCOTUS ruled most of the main gun laws unconstitutional, they are still trying to find ways around it. Bud, you're not even allowed to protect yourself or your family if you were out..infringment.

I can go on for days with this but their ultimate goal is to eventually do away with the second amendment (that's been brought up a bunch of times) and with the eventual goal of confiscation. Call it death by a thousand cuts. Now, we know that would never happen even if they wanted too but to make firearms harder to get, more expensive (Jackson-Lee proposed a $200 tax on ammunition no matter how many rounds) trying to make it that only the rich can afford it but hurting the middle-class and poor that can't afford it....is more infringment
Thankfully, because of the NRA and other 2A civil rights organizations, the left is getting their asses kicked at the Federal level even here in California because of the ruling New York State Rifle and Pistol Assoc v. Bruen
That ruling has sent liberals loopy because this affects the laws on a Federal level. Blue states are in court every day trying to find ways around it but most have no historical background to justify it.
And for the record, like many, I’m licensed to carry in 42 states the remainder have no reciprocity which means I’m not allowed to carry in that state…all blue states. Infringement
