Age and all the fucking heavy deadlifts have fucked up Iain’s Ramy’s and Hunters back! (Going too heavy and sloppy form for years ) “ How to avoid “? Lower the fucking weight and focus on squeezing and contracting the muscle ….

My one and only back injury (L4-L5, L5-S1) came from deadlifting to absolute failure as a test subject at a college study. Dumb on my part to continue with bad form, but they had the music blasting, and they were all watching  ;D

I somehow doubt that the All Drugs Camel Crews Ramy has ever done heavy deadlifts.

I could be Wrong , I just highly doubt it.

Deadlifts are probably the #1 exercise / coupled with bad form that blows out discs and causes nerve damage (but it can be “ sloppy / heavy “ bent over rows etc ..   and everyone tried heavy powerlifting like back training , because we all watched “ Ronnie Coleman “ DVD’s VHS … that’s my take on it anyways!

We all have done stupid shit in the gym we wish we hadn’t! (Thought I was indestructible in my youth!) paying for it now….

I've done plenty of Heavy deadlifts (relative to my bodyweight ) When training & Competing in powerlifting.
Always hated them , just structurally not built for them, Thankfully No Damage - 🤔 Hmmm that I'm aware of .

Yep, and deadlifts were my favorite exercise 20 years ago. I feel very fortunate that I didn't fuck my back up. Haven't done them in over 10 years.
