Deadlifts are probably the #1 exercise / coupled with bad form that blows out discs and causes nerve damage (but it can be “ sloppy / heavy “ bent over rows etc .. and everyone tried heavy powerlifting like back training , because we all watched “ Ronnie Coleman “ DVD’s VHS … that’s my take on it anyways!
I've done plenty of Heavy deadlifts (relative to my bodyweight ) When training & Competing in powerlifting.
Always hated them , just structurally not built for them, Thankfully No Damage - 🤔 Hmmm that I'm aware of .
