He's already on the decline hard
Hasn't come close to winning anything in years. I don't know why he still so fucking big. And he's tall, 6'7" I think. 400lb tall guys don't live long. Give Eddie Hall credit. He won the WSM once and he got the fuck out.
Bang on about Eddie Hall. I'm glad they rigged the contest in 2017 for him to win, lol. He got the title, then retired from the promotion allowing the other guys to win. Despite events being selected so that he would win, I respect that he won the whole show, and retired the way he did. It also saved his life.
As for Brian Shaw declining - yes he is, but: he placed 4th this year, and 2nd last year. So he's literally only, what, 19 months from being the second strongest man on the planet. He's declining to be sure, but can probably still make the podium next year.
But let's say he wins - even if he wins, is he really helping himself or his family if he wins in 2023 at 41 years old and 410 pounds?
Makes me wonder if his wife ever brought this up to him. And to think she was dating Mike Jenkins until they broke up due to him dropping dead at 390-lb at 6'6".
In the documentary "Born Strong", Eddie's wife was very sad at the prospect of Eddie dying young.
