The deal breaker for most will come down to "no wifi".  While there is no gym, I am sure you could manage with bands, bodyweight, etc..  (let's face it, no one is going to be in training for the Mr. O)

This reminds me of a light house on a tiny island in the Baltics.  I can not remember exactly where.  But the stint there was 4 years, decent money and very nice retirement package, there were no tourists or duties like that.  But the thing that turned me off was that you could not leave the island. (Unless extreme weather emergency)  A helicopter dropped off supplies every 3-4 weeks.  So the internet was not a big thing like now.  But you had to give them a list of your needs and 3-4 weeks later, they would return with supplies whereas you gave them a new list.

How many here could self isolate like that and stay sane?

Who in their right mind with head Chef experience (as they're looking for someone high end quality) AND Captain ticket with experience would be able to handle such a pathetic wage? 70k p.p. is an absolute disgrace. I prefer to be alone or maybe one other person who was cool and preferably has a snatch.

Not enough money for me, but i'm sure there are people out there who would do that.

What about a scenario like the basis of The Shining movie?   Months long position as caretaker of a ski lodge that was closed.  Nothing to do but stay inside since the weather pretty much cancelled any outdoor activities. 

So you would have living space, well stocked with food and drinks (water, liquor, etc..)  But no internet, no possible outdoor activities, no gym.  (yes while a lodge may have a fitness center, let's just say in this case it doesn't - but you could devise your own with what was on hand)

If i had some form of entertainment, even just a library of books or something, i could make it several months no problem.

I don't workout seriously anymore, but back when i did i think that would be a deal breaker not to have a gym or at least some way to exercise.

You could do this or you’re convinced you can do it easily? 5 months is 20% of 24 months so you’re kind of going out on a limb saying you could do 24 months easily.
