What about a scenario like the basis of The Shining movie? Months long position as caretaker of a ski lodge that was closed. Nothing to do but stay inside since the weather pretty much cancelled any outdoor activities.
So you would have living space, well stocked with food and drinks (water, liquor, etc..) But no internet, no possible outdoor activities, no gym. (yes while a lodge may have a fitness center, let's just say in this case it doesn't - but you could devise your own with what was on hand)
I've done things like this before, only not as luxurious. No awesome, well-stocked kitchen, for example. I've spent quite a bit of time working alone (as well as fairly remote - with a few others in country) with no internet, no hot water, sometimes no bed for a few months. I enjoy it, but when you're doing it as part of a stressful job, it can definitely take it's toll physically and mentally.
Having no internet for more than a few weeks is shit - even for someone who likes reading. The first scenario sounds like hell, though. I would not be able to host people and 'serve them'. That would legit cause a 'here's Johnny' scenario.
