It’s been all bullshit from day one. But make no mistake, that pipsqueak Garland will indict him on some made up charge. They’re desperate to not have him run.
If Garland indicts Trump on (made-up) charges, they probably won't stick. So, I must disagree with you. If Trump gets indicted, they better have him dead-to-rights because all hell is going to break loose either way. He's been twice impeached by the House and the Senate twice acquitted him.
Likewise, The Trump Organization, was convicted on 17 counts of tax fraud and other crimes and it appears, the man Trump is not on the hook for this as of now although the sacrificial lamb, his chief financial officer Allen H. Weisselberg took the fall. Just like Cohen and others have taken the fall for him, willingly or not.
The more times Trump is put on the fence and manages to jump free from it the less credible his accusers look. It is looks like the man is Teflon... nothing sticks to him. But eventually, even Teflon breaks down and stuff starts to stick. When this happens it is time to toss the pan because there is no fixing it.
If the 2020 election and the midterms are any indication of Trump's present viability for elected office, his political career may be kaput anyway. As his hold over others slips, they will abandon him and he will fade away into the sunset... eventually all but forgotten. And this may be a good thing because the other possibilities will be worse for him.
If Garland and the Department of Justice charge Trump, they will only do it when they are sure to successfully prosecute him.
