I don’t hate him. I just find that, like most Professors, he goes on and on and never knows when to STFU.

Fair call. But unlike most academics he risked personal consequences and didn't quietly comply.

No way a majority of professors believe that making everyone use made up pronouns like xir is a good idea, and yet nobody else came forward to say no you don't get to make that a law, or it's wrong to compel speech in general, or anything.

All those brains and no fucking balls. It's why people rightly mistrust the intelligentsia. With very few exceptions, they're self serving, spineless, and not to be counted on in a pinch.
