To expose the shredded, striated glutes for few reasons. First to impress the judges and separate himself from the competition in turn winning the Show. Second, to impress the schmoes in the crowd who then will continue to support him and buy his vids, merchandise, supplements etc. He in essence was a walking billboard for himself and supplement companies that sponsored him.
