Back in 1991 and 1992, Mike Matarazzo had arms that could probably match that. But that did not last long. He lost his freakiness.

Ronnie will always be the GOAT as far as what's possible for the few contents prior to his guts spilling out.

To me, though. 1993's Dorian and 1993's Flex are the pinnacle (from different ways) of what bodybuilding SHOULD have been. Ronnie was basically an alien that didn't belong on that stage because it felt like 'cheating' and going above what steroids SHOULD have done. I don't know how else to explain it. Ronnie was too much for that stage. Should have competed against that Xenomorph alien creature.

You're joking, right? Flex actually started becoming Flex in the late 90s/early 2000s, up until that point he was looking like today's Classic Physique guys.

Your argument doesn’t have a leg to stand on.

The 2003 pic is a balding, implant and oil filled poisoned body. Totally agree ‘93 was better looking despite less “mass”. And by “mass” I mean “mess”.

Might still have two legs to stand on if he stayed the course from ‘93 and just maintained a near-perfect physique.

There will never be another Ronnie. Guys awesome.  Tragic but still the all time GOAT for bodybuilding.

My personal preference is late 70's through early to mid 80's. 

Second favorite era is mid 90's.

Wheeler 93, Levrone 92, Strydom 89, Padilla 81, Mentzer 79, Dillet 94? ... of course Dorian is in there somewhere.  He's better than all of these guys but his build just was never a favorite of mine. The others are ideal physiques....but for sheer ripped muscle mass....Ron shits on all of them.

Matarazzo’s arms were legit. There is absolutely no oil in this arm. This pic is from 1992. This is real muscle.
